Veterinarian Technician looking to expand her field of knowledge

My name is Fenesia Lucky, I’m a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technologist based in Georgia. With 2.5 years of experience in a professional fast- paced working environment. I can coordinate, organize and execute surgical plans given by DVM. Currently, I am seeking a remote technician position where I am able to provide veterinary practices with active listening and problem-solving customer service. As well as a stress-free working environment. I have experience working in referral surgical practice, emergency soft tissue, as well as general practice. I am currently employed at a surgical referral practice. I worked collaboratively with 15+ veterinary professionals to care for our surgical patient, and to educate owners on post operative care. My duties consist of but not limited to properly set up and surgical operation rooms, review patient documentation prior to surgery, assisting veterinarians in surgical procedures; Orthopedic, Soft Tissue, or Neurosurgeries etc. During my time as the lead technician of the emergency soft tissue department my role was to communication and update owners pre and post-operation, properly discharging patients, carefully going through discharge instructions for owners’ understanding and becoming the OR nurse for minor surgeries: wound management, neuters, BOAS, small mass removals. With this facility being a teaching hospital another responsible that I took on was our pre-RVT. These students were fresh from college and in the process of studying and passing their VTNE. I helped prepare them for their boards testing by creating PowerPoint, holding study sessions as well as creating interactive games that would stimulate their minds to think critically.
