I’ve been working as a Software Engineer for over 15 years now. Much of that experience has been working in the Clojure and Java ecosystems, building data pipelines, analytics software, mobile apps, web apps, etc. More recently, I’ve been working at the MBTA using Phoenix and LiveView to provide riders with the most up-to-date information via GTFS and our API. If you’re in the Boston area and have ever used Google/Apple maps or Transit App (or pretty much any other touchpoint) to plan a trip or figure out where your train/bus is, our team is responsible for providing them that data, either through our GTFS feeds or our API. Much of our work is open source and available on GitHub. Go check it out!
