At oVice I spent 2 years on a distributed Phoenix system serving 20k concurrent users, used WebSocket events, Oban for job queueing and scheduling, ETS and Redis caching, and query tuning on tables with millions of rows some queries 20x faster. Also cut unnecessary API calls by 75% in production. I fixed deadlocks and used datadog for observability.
At Evercam I worked on infrastructure handling roughly 1TB of camera footage daily: debugging across microservices, Grafana and Loki for observability, and chasing down software issues that came down to how the hardware behaved.
