I’ve been building software for over 20 years. My background started in Applied Mathematics and C++, and I spent a long time working with Ruby on Rails on large-scale enterprise software and ERP systems.
Over the last few years, my focus has shifted heavily to Elixir and Phoenix. I enjoy the ecosystem because it solves real-time, high-concurrency problems efficiently without needing a massive, over-complicated infrastructure stack.
I’m comfortable across the stack—handling DevOps pipelines, building frontend/mobile pieces when needed (like React Native/Expo for personal projects), or writing system integrations. But my main value is in the backend: taking a messy business problem or a complex real-time requirement and writing clean, reliable OTP code to handle it.
