Elixir developer, Ruby background

Backend engineer with 6+ years of professional experience, now focused on Elixir and the BEAM ecosystem. My path: Ruby on Rails for the majority of my career, then a successful Ruby-to-Go production migration, and now Elixir as my primary direction. The move is a natural one: the OTP concurrency model, fault tolerance patterns, and Phoenix’s design philosophy all align with the kind of distributed backend problems I have enjoyed solving. I am at the junior stage in Elixir specifically, but I bring production depth in backend fundamentals, database performance, and API design that shortens the ramp-up considerably.
