I am a Senior Software Engineer with a deep passion for the BEAM ecosystem, functional programming, and building highly resilient, data-intensive applications. My background spans building payment gateways and heavy-duty iGaming aggregation cores where performance, concurrency, and data consistency are absolutely critical.

What makes me unique: I don’t just write code to solve the immediate business ticket; I build tools that multiply the productivity of the entire engineering team. I strongly believe in observability, correct architectural boundaries, and treating Developer Experience (DX) as a first-class citizen.

Key Highlights & Projects:

• Livebook for Incident Response: I pioneered the use of Elixir Livebook connected to production clusters for complex financial investigations. What started as my personal toolkit to uncover ~€1M in transaction discrepancies quickly became the standard “quick response console” for the entire department.
• Open Source & Cryptography: I developed and open-sourced an Erlang library for Apple Pay payment token decryption (erlang-apay-decrypt) and implemented seamless HashiCorp Vault integrations.
• High-Throughput Architectural Solutions:
  • Designed and implemented an Elixir-based task-graph execution engine to automate complex, multi-service payment rollbacks, saving the integration team countless hours of manual work.
  • Developed a highly optimized Redis Elixir library featuring connection pooling, Lua-scripted atomic operations, and secondary indices that eliminated expensive SCAN operations and drastically reduced PostgreSQL load. It was universally adopted across all engineering teams at the company.
• Resilience at Scale: Built an Elixir service for transaction schema migration that isolated analytical queries from the operational database, boosting the core payment platform’s throughput by 20%.

Beyond the BEAM: My architectural thinking is heavily influenced by strict functional programming (Haskell, PureScript) and recent explorations into AI Agent Engineering. When I’m not designing fault-tolerant systems, I apply my leadership and management skills running a non-profit fencing club.
