As a serial startup employee, I’m use to working in fast-paced environments where sh*t needs to get done and done fast. There’s a thrill that comes from being able to launch or push out new features to put a smile on our customers’ faces. However, that doesn’t mean jumping without looking: I believe a successful app must have a strong foundation, and you get that through design, architecture, and lots of documentation.
Beyond just developing, I’ve also dabbled in Team Lead and Engineering Manager roles. This has given me a new perspective on how to communicate, from the greenest developer to the company’s founder. I’m happy to help not just build the codebase, but the team as well!
I’m looking for a fun team with a strong passion for the work they’re doing. Healthy communication should be at the forefront of any good team. That doesn’t mean just status updates, but also having the hard conversations when things aren’t working.
Learning to grow in Elixir continues to be a goal of mine. This year, I’ve been introduced to LiveView Native and the Ash Framework and would love to fully dive into them in the upcoming year!
