I’m an experienced Software Engineer with about 15 years of total experience. The last 5 of those years have been working in Elixir. I love solving challenging problems, working directly with users to gather feedback, and building strong teams.
My current work is building the ground software for the command and control of spacecraft. I’ve worked directly on scheduling contacts, radio integrations, ground station integrations and mission planning features. All of this work has been in Elixir.
Before that I worked in crypto currency and was responsible for the Auth platform. Some of my accomplishments included:
- Lead a development team that extracted the core accounts domain model from an Elixir/Phoenix monolithic application to a new domain service that enabled new features. Reached production within weeks of project start.
- Lead a development team that created a custom accounts dashboard using Elixir and Phoenix LiveView for internal teams and reduced customer support ticket’s cycle time by 90%.
- Created migration tooling using Elixir and moved over 300,000 user accounts from AWS Cognito to Auth0 with zero downtime.
