Hey, I’m Kim! Looking for a potential remote job here that would allow me to partly work from Brazil (I’m based in Stockholm/Sweden).
I’m a software developer that enjoys bringing simplicity to the code-base, working together with other people, and learning new things. Functional programming had always been interesting to me ever since i poked around with Clojure at the university. I find the author of Clojure (Rich Hickey) truly inspiring. Now at the current job I accidentally stumbled upon a dev team that embraced Elixir, and I’ve learned a lot about it. I like making things work and fixing broken stuff. Usually the most effective solution is not adding a bunch of more lines of code.
I code a bit on my spare time sometimes, actively maintaining an open-source Magit knockoff (without Emacs) Gitu. I’ve also dabbed into hosting my own Phoenix service to leverage AI to generate T-shirt designs: imprinter.ai (you can buy them too).
I’m pretty fluent in PostgresSQL, I’ve got quite some Linux skills, AWS, Github Actions. etc. I speak fluent Swedish and English, a bit of German too.
Thank you for your attention, and feel free to contact me if you found this letter!
