I’m a seasoned Elixir developer with a Ruby on Rails background that started doing elixirs on a pre-1.0 version of the language.
Since then I could not stop using it, every new drop you learn opens a ton of new capabilities.
I have been involved in the development of several indie products and have worked for international companies in the market of HR and medical software.
Some of my deep knowledges are:
-
Elixir/OTP: distribution and the OTP are master keys to archive performance and reliability in the current world of containers, Kubernetes clusters and hybrid cloud solutions. Elixir, Erlang and the OTP are really powerful tools if you know how to use them.
-
DevOps: with strong capabilities at DevOps, I have dedicated part of my career to build and maintain the ops part of the company, using technologies like Terraform, EKS, Ansible and many others. Like in software development, maintainability is key.
-
Databases: another key component of any distributed system is the data storage, and being able to build and maintain a good database schema is a silver bullet for performance. I have deep knowledge of PostgreSQL internals and how to use indexes, partitioned tables and master/slave replicas to get all the juice from the DB.
If you want someone to join your team capable of work in any of those areas, please don’t hesitate in contacting me. I always answer all messages even if not interested :)
