For the last six years I’ve worked with Elixir and I’ve worked with Ruby. I’ve done the odd bug-fix with other languages, so I’m comfortable with unfamiliar languages. Of all the languages I’ve worked with however, Elixir would have to be my favourite. I think functional programming makes it easier to reason about data and how an application works. Elixir makes it easy to establish and maintain boundaries with your software
I’ve worked with several different types of design paradigms and architectures. I’m a fan of keeping it simple first. Monolith isn’t always a bad word
